Emory & Henry College welcomes applications for the Director of the college’s newly constructed center for the arts.
Responsibilities: The Director will provide leadership and overall responsibility for the programming, operations, and financial performance of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts, which will include a 450-seat theatre, a black box theatre, a scene shop, an art gallery, and the campus and community radio station, WEHC.-FM. In collaboration with the Visual and Performing Arts Division and other campus constituencies, the Director will provide creative leadership and supervision of the programmatic, educational, and community activities of the Center. The successful candidate will help to develop and implement the strategic plan and budget for the center as well as manage day-to-day operations. The position is available beginning July 1, 2014. Completion of the arts center is scheduled for mid-February, 2015. The McGlothlin Center for the Arts is intended primarily for performances, lectures, and exhibits hosted by Emory & Henry College, but it will also play an important role as a regional venue for the arts.
