Emory & Henry College will join numerous other private colleges across Virginia in welcoming rising high school juniors and seniors, along with their families, to participate in Virginia Private College Week from July 28 through Aug. 2. Transfer students are also invited to attend. The event is hosted by the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV).
Emory & Henry will offer campus tours and information sessions about admissions, financial aid and academic programs. College officials will also address numerous ways to make a private college education affordable.
Students who visit at least three institutions during the week will receive three application fee waivers to any Virginia private colleges who participate in the Virginia Private College Week.
Sessions for prospective students will begin at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday, July 28 through Friday, Aug.1, and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2. For more information about Emory & Henry College, including how to apply for admission, visit www.ehc.edu.
“Visiting campuses in person is one of the most important steps in the college search process,” explains Robert Lambeth, president of CICV. “I encourage parents to explore which college will be the best fit for their son or daughter, and I want to reassure them that a quality education at a Virginia private college is affordable and within reach.”
The application fee waivers will be emailed to eligible participants in later September or early October.
