I am a passionate, professional early childhood educator. I teach the two and three year old students at Busy Little Bees Child Development Center, located in the Memorial Chapel.
I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education at Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee. I continued my graduate studies there, earning my M.A. in Holistic Education. After three years spent in public school systems in Northeast Tennessee as a substitute teacher, pre-K assistant, and special education assistant, I took a position teaching three and four year old students at the YWCA in Bristol, Tennessee. At this point, I directed my attention specifically to early childhood education. Through my experiences, I began to truly understand how critical the early years of development are for giving a child a strong educational foundation. My passions led me to taking my current position here at Emory and Henry College. I enjoy modeling my passion and expertise for college students interested in becoming educators.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, going to the movies and local live performances. I volunteer at Theatre Bristol in Tennessee.
